Easter at Driffield Rugby kicks off in the same way as usual – the Players’ Dinner is held tonight (Thursday) at the clubhouse with a sit-down meal, plenty of beer and the handing-out of awards for players and members. 7pm meet, 7.30 start. If you want to attend contact Helen or Chappy ASAP.
On Friday we show our support for Yorkshire’s finest 7s tournament, the Pock 7s. We have a team entered, and they kick off in the 1st round against East Yorkshire Penguins, KO aiming for 2.20.
Saturday is Turnbull Trophy at Bridlington RUFC. This year’s could be an epic, with Brid winning Yorkshire 1, Driff are well safe in N1E and there will nothing held back. And with one eye on the league next year already, its sure to be a belter. Driff Squad below.
