Once again Kelleythorpe will welcome West Hartlepool RFC this Saturday, for our North One East encounter.
Driffield have had two good wins since our loss at Almwick, beating Dinnington 42 – 3 at Kelleythorpe and Northern 14 – 7 Last weekend. Both of those teams prop up the league, with West sitting 3rd bottom at present.
I should think Driffield will be happy with the win at Northern, but not happy with the performance. We did enough to win the game easily, but in the end just won the game.
West are having a bit of a slow season, with one win and draw to their name. Their win came in the 1st round at home against YMCA, the draw at home against Percy Park. Last week they lost to Bridlington 28 – 10 in Hartlepool.
Our games against West have always been lively matches. Last season both games finished in a 1 point victory, Driffield winning 14 – 13 at kelleythorpe, and West winning 33 – 32 at their place.
