This weekend is the first of two consecutive games against local club Malton ; the first is a League encounter, followed next week by the Yorkshire Cup Game.
Only 2 points separate the two teams in the league ; Driffield edging it because of bonus points. Driffield also have a much better points difference, having both scored more, and conceded fewer. Malton will have their tails up having won their last three games. Driffield have to bounce back from a loss last week ; if they can repeat the standard of rugby they played in the first half at YMCA, they will put up a very strong performance.
All the ingredients are there for a great game of rugby : there is a full complement of pre-lunch tables, and Malton fans are bound to travel to this local derby, so support for both sides will be strong. We hope to see you there.
