The Woldsmen travel to New Hey Road on Saturday to play Huddersfield YMCA for the first of their league fixtures. The team bus is meeting at 11 and coming straight back for the Elvis Night at the Club.
Our 1st XV should be feeling buoyed by recent form, having won their last three games. They sit fifth in the table on the same points as Bridlington, with points difference giving them the edge. Last week’s victory against West Hartlepool was a bumper try-scoring game, with 13 scored : 9 of them by Driffield.
In the away fixture at Huddersfield last year the Woldsmen lost 20-34 : they will want to produce a different result this time to help maintain their league position.
YMCA sit 12th in the table, with two wins and a draw under their belt. Last week they travelled to Bridlington, losing 39-12.
