All support will be focused on Beverley RUFC Saturday afternoon, as our 3rd XV look to retain the crown of Easter Merit League Champions for the 5th year on the bounce with Goole 2nd XV standing in their way once again.

With club legend Rob Norman standing down as 3rd team skipper last season, the 3rd xv reigns were past to another club leg-end, Will Megginson. Will has had been the perfect replacement to Rob, embracing his enthusiasm for the 3rd team, and has led them once again to the league final.

They have had a very good season losing only twice all season, at Goole & later at BP. They are un-beaten since the beginning of December.

As usual the 3rd xv has been a perfect of youth & experience, Young lads such as Pettifer & Megginson (Ben), alongside Mcclarron, Harrison & Ollett. Add to that Cooper, Lucas, Holland their is allot of experienced guys that have been around the club for a long time.

After finishing the league season on at the top of the league, they welcomed Hullensians 2nd team to Kelleythorpe 2 weeks ago in the play-off, Driffield again fielding a strong side won 39-19 to qualify for the final. Goole welcomed BP, with Goole winning to provide our opposition.

Once again, Driffield batting bit higher, with every team in the league being a 1st XV or 2nd XV, and again a terrific achievement by all the lads involved in the Cents.

Sas much support as possible welcomed to beverley for a 3.30 KO on Saturday Afternoon,
