Our club, in recent years has experienced tremendous growth on and off the field. It can boast to be one of the best clubs in the area, fielding four senior sides and over 200 children playing rugby each week enjoying a facility that is second to none.
Financial sustainability is always a pressing topic for the club executive committee. As a ‘not for profit’ organization we rely on our sponsors, fundraising activities and the generosity of individuals to support our programmes.
The efforts of our volunteers who devote countless hours of time and energy helps build a strong platform. This in turn provides better facilities, and in my mind, better facilities encourage more members and better players.
With this in mind I would urge all supporters, visitors and members to use our professionally managed clubhouse which is available for private hire for weddings parties, christenings, meetings etc throughout the year.
Running a modern and progressive rugby club requires expertise in all departments. Changes have recently been made in the management structure to accommodate such people who will hopefully take the club forward.
The club is rightly about the game of rugby, the components are the players and the members.
